• born in 1962 in Bruchsal 
• studied in Munich and  Frankfurt/M. 
• subjects: philosophy, political sciences, sociology,  communication sciences and history 
• 1997 PhD in social sciences at Johann Wolfgang Goethe-University, Frankfurt/M. 
• 1999 lecturer at the Research Center for Semiotics
• 2000 lecturer at the Institute for Philosophy at the University of Hannover

• the genetic make-up of analytical philosophy and pragmatism 
• American semiotics 
• philosophical semantics 
• diagrammatical representation of logical inference
